Gideon and Sirius already in the midst of trying to determine the identity of the so-called "Reluctant Hero" which seems to magically appear just after the shots began to ring at an elementary school. Challenging shots, shooters handled hero, and then disappeared.

Both cases against an easy answer, but when Pauley turns up dead, the detectives are left with two murders to solve and lots of questions. Gideon and Sirius-along with the help of a new-found friends investigate that thin line between the real and tangible to understand this may be a crime.
